Butterfly fly away

I wanted to post this tomorrow but since I won't have time to do so I decided to do it today, one day earlier.

19.9.2014. That was the day when my whole life changed. I quit my job in Elisa, packed everything I got into one big suitcase, left my life in Finland behind me and moved to Cyprus.

I cannot believe it has already been four years. I'm so proud of my 21 year old self for being able to do something that big and life changing. Back then tho everything was so much different. I never thought my life would be like this what it is now. I was in a relationship, which I thought would last for lifetime. I was so naive and in love. I never thought four years later I would be single, living by myself with a cat. I used to hate cats and look at me now, I've turned into a cat lady.  

I'm so proud of myself tho, I have a job that I love, my studies are going rather well and hopefully in two years I will graduate, I have a nice car and good people around me. I've actually grown up and my life view has completely changed over these years. I've learnt about so many different cultures and how to deal with different kind of people.

Am I happier here than I was in Finland? Hell yeah. I cannot say I am completely happy tho. I still got lot of things I need to work on but I am slowly getting there. Hopefully. I do have days when I feel alone and sad, few times I've almost given up and though about going back home but then I've realized that I wouldn't be happier there. Yes I do miss my best friend and my family, but other than that Finland has nothing more to offer me. I am not saying I would never go back, but at this point, Cyprus is where I belong to.

During these four years I've met a lot of new people. From shy and reserved girl I've turned into social one (ok who am I kidding I am still quite shy) who don't give a sh*t what other people say or think.  I am so grateful for my friends, I don't know if I could have done all this without them. Specially my other half who completes my half Finnish half Cypriot roots, thank you so much for being always there for me, even during periods when I wasn't so lovable haha!   

I hope four years from now I have finally found my happiness. I hope have finished my studies and have a job as an accountant or auditor. I hope I will find the right person to share my life with. 

I hope this wasn't too deep again, but I thought I want to share my thoughts and feelings. Life is not always bed of roses and I don't want to pretend or say my life is.

Long time no see

Hello readers (if there is any of you left there after all this time haha)
Wow. I can't believe I am actually writing here again. I had decided to leave this blog behind and concentrate on my other blog, but I kind of prefer blogger over the other one so I was thinking, what the heck, I am going to give this another chance. 
So much has changed since I last wrote here. I don't even know where to begin or if I even wanna write about all the changes here. We will see. I wanted to hide all my old posts and start fresh but decided to leave all the old posts - at least for now.

To cut short story long, here is a little recap of what has been going on with me. 
It has now been two years since I left Finland and moved to Cyprus. And yes, I am still living in here. There is no way I am going back to Finland any time soon, if ever. For holidays, yes. I can't say I will live my rest of the life here, but for now, Cyprus is the best place for me. 

Last time I wrote I was working in Mango. On February I changed jobs and that has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I really like my job, it's something different and I find it really interesting. I have met amazing people through my work and my best friend here in Cyprus. She is amazing I don't know what I would do without her (if she is reading this, she knows who she is haha x) 

My studies are still going well. I am slowly passing my lessons and hopefully in 1.5 years I will have my Bachelors Degree and then few more years and I will finish my ACCA studies with Masters Degree.  I have 2 exams this December, hopefully will pass both of them haha! 

Hmm... what else? Well, I am just enjoying my life at the moment and trying to make best of it.

I still don't know whats going to happen with this blog, if I actually manage to keep up with posts, but I will try. I have few post ideas ready, I just need to think what kind of posts I wanna write here.

IM BACK!

Hello friends!

Long time no see hu? Well I'm so sorry for dissapearing like that but it just I had so much going on with my life with my friend coming to Cyprus, work and school, but now my first exams are over (which btw went much better than I thought, I passed them all!!) and since my school does not continue for like in 10 days I decided to come back and start blogging again! I do have so much material and pictures waiting to get published and I am really excited to be able to write again!! :) 

I had off today from work so I went to my bf's pool! It has been so hot today even tho it's quite windy outside but the wind is really warm and not helping with the heat!! But I'm so happy that it's summer, because it's my favorite time of the year! I've already swum in the ocean once and it was really cold :D But my family is coming here in few weeks and I'm so excited about it and it also means I get to go to swimming pools and beach more often, yay! :)

April 1st

Happy April 1st everybody! This is probably the first year when I haven't tried to do any april fools! And no one has done them for me, so, so good so far ! Here in Cyprus April 1st is a public holiday (don't even ask me why :D) so I had a day off from work today! The weather was so lovely today, sun was shining and it was warm outside so we decided to go for a little beach walk with my boyfriend. But as soon as we arrived to the beach it started to look a little cloudy and because it was windy too we didn't last that long and came back to home! 

Ooooohhhh, my best friend will come to Cyprus this month!!! 17 days left !!! <3 But before that it will be quite busy for me with studying and working (hence it's Easter next week here in Cyprus I will be working more hours I think! )

Saturday night @ the beach

Last Saturday night I went for a little car drive with my friends and before heading back to home we decided to go and sit on the beach. It was the warmest evening so far, so it was really nice to just sit and relax and breath the sea air! I just love the scent of the ocean!! 

Sooo because once again had Emily with me I asked her to take some outfit pictures, I know the pictures are not that great since it was night-time but I still liked them, hope you do too :)

Hear the sound of the ocean

One thing I really love about living in Cyprus and specially here in Limassol is that sea is surrounding you everywhere. It doesn't matter if you live in a village or in the city you can still see the beautiful Mediterranean almost everywhere.  Yesterday me and my boyfriend we went to the sea for a little walk. It was warm outside but the wind was pretty strong hence the air was chilly too! But it was still so beautiful; the sun was shining and the ocean was really blue. Me like it!

You can actually see how windy it was from the pictures!But loook at those waves, they look so cool!

It's all or nothing

Hey guys and happy spring time everyone! :) 
It's time for outfit post again! On Saturday I out to eat with my friends and fiiinally got someone with me who knows how to take pictures, so thank you Emily! :)x

It was too cold to pose without my jacket so sorry guys! Underneath my jacket I was wearing a white top with blue stripes and a black cardigan, so yeah my outfit was pretty black! 

As you might know from the previous outfit posts, my favorite jeans are the one from Top Shop. Oh well you never guess what happened to them! Few weeks ago the jeans ripped off from the left knee (and they were my only jeans that were not ripped so I got pretty sad).  That was a good excuse for me to go shopping some new jeans and once again the only jeans that I liked were from Top Shop so I got them! : )

I was also wearing my new jacket from Tally Weijl and my favorite boots that I got from Finland! And of course my new bag from DKNY! :)

Limassol Marina

Wow. It's already 2015. I really can't believe how fast 2014 went by. Only few more days and I start my studies... FINALLY!  Anyways, as my first post for 2015 I am going to show you guys some pictures me and my brother took in Limassol Marina last week when he still was here. It was my first time visiting Marina day time and we were lucky that the sun was shining when we arrived so we were able to have our little photograph session :) 

We went there right after my work so I was still wearing the clothes I wear at work. I wouldn't normally go out with plain black trousers because they are totally out of my comfort zone (but unfortunately I have to wear them at work) but idk, I think they actually looked quite nice with my white knitted cardigan!

@ Dassoudi Beach

As I mentioned yesterday, I was having holidays down in Limassol when my family came here. During their stay we went 2 times to the beach and for me it was first time this year when I had to chance to swim,relax and tan!! The water was warm and so refreshing ! I really like Dassoudi beach (it's situated in the tourist area in Limassol, behind Pizza hat!) because the water is clean and there's toilets and restaurant near if you need them. It was also quite there because it's kind of "off season" (as my aunt says) now here in Cyprus. Sunbeds were cheap, they were only 2€/bed, which is cheaper than 2 years ago, when they were 3€!
