How to "lighten up" your bedroom

Heyyy friends!

Ok so I know that in most countries summer is almost (or already) over but here in Cyprus it's still really hot outside and there's no sing of autumn! And because I've been trying to survive my really hot summer nights I was all on board when Parachute asked me to share some of my tips on how to make your hot nights easier! I hope you enjoy! :)

The first thing I do before I go to bed is to open my air condition. And because I have three little cats living with me, so opening up my windows is not a question (did that once, woke up and my cats were sitting outside my window, luckily they didn't fell down!). I usually just open it for 30 minutes before I sleep just so that my room feels cooler.

It's also very important to have light sheets because it will make you feel more cooler than with winter sheets. Also I got rid of my duvet so I am just sleeping with cover sheet. ( You can also put your sheets in the freezer for a little while before you go to bed but just don't forget them :p) Parachute has some really nice sheets for summer time (and for the autumn time as well for you guys who live in colder countries).

I also tend to have my shutters closed so that the sun wont get in and make my room even hotter. Lightning up a fresh candle makes your air feel fresh too and it's always nicer to go to sleep with fresh air! Also I do have a glass of water or bottle next to me just in case I feel thirsty (also water makes you feel cooler ! )

What would I wear if I had all the money in the world (Fall edition)

Hey hey hey! 
Ok so I know it's still August and at least here in Cyprus this week has been one of the hottest weeks this year (yesss on Monday and Tuesday temperatures were higher than 40 degrees Celsius!) butt I couldn't help my self to start looking for a little fall fashion inspirations and what I would be wearing this fall. And the thing is we really don't have fall here in Cyprus, so I'll be wearing my shorts until late October and maybe in December I can finally get my hoodies and sweatshirts and boots out of my closet ! But as I said, this heat has really made me miss fall time :(

11 things you didn't know about me

I thought it would be nice to take part of the "11 things you didn't know about me" tag since I personally love to read these kind of posts! I got challenged by this beautiful blogger Nisha from Magpie Hut.
So here are her questions and my answers to them :)
1. If you could have any superpower what would it be and why? 
Ok this is a hard question for me! I've been thinking about this many times but i dont know! I may have to say the ability to fly, just because then I could just fly to see my family and friends in Finland whenever I feel like it! But on the other hand I would also like to be able to read others mind, that would be so coo too! 

2. If you were the ruler of the world what laws would you introduce? 
First of all I would put force a law protecting animal rights and everyone violating my new law would be punished the exact same way they have been treated animals.  Second I would allow everyone to get married no matter if they are straight, gay, bi or whatever they want to be and with this law equal rights to everyone in all matters!  Third law would be free monday morning coffee for everyone because we all know how Monday mornings are ! 

3. What was your last dream about?  
Haha normally I do remember my dreams but I have no idea what dream I saw last night! 

4. Where would your dream holiday be? 
USA or Bali or Maldives! 

5. If you had 10 euros to buy a gift for your best friend what would it be and why? 
Damn it 10 euros is not enough to buy her a plain ticket to Cyprus! Oh well I would probably make a book for her with our pictures and memories on it ! <3 

6. If you could teleport to anywhere right now where would you go? 
I would go to Finland to see my friends and family, especially my little brother since he is going to army tomorrow ! 

7. What food/drink can't you live without? 
I have to say coffee just because If I don't get my morning coffee my day will be ruined! 

8. In a life movie about you, who would play your character and why? 
Ok this is a hard question! I think I have to say Leighton Meester, just because I think she is great actress and I think she would do a great job actin me! 

9. Who in your life makes you feel amazing? 
I don't know if I should say my boyfriend since its kind of obvious that he makes me feel amazing, but I would also say my oldest friend who I've known since we were born! She always makes me feel good about my self especially when I'm insecure about my self! 

10. What advice would you give to your 5 year old you?  Enjoy being child because it's the only time of your life when you don't have to worry about anything! Go outside and play with your friends, enjoy nature and have fun. 

11. What's the bravest thing you've ever done? 
The bravest thing I've done is when I moved to Cyprus. I left everything, my family, my friends, my job, everything behind me in Finland and moved alone to Cyprus. But Im glad I did it. Im proud of my self for doing it.

Cool for the Summer

Hey hey hey! 
Haha I didn't remember that it was this hard to come up with good post title! I just love mornings where you are not in a hurry and you can do what ever you like! Its so hot outside but I still love to drink my morning coffee despite the fact that it makes me feel even hotter but who cares right!
These pictures are from two weekends back when me and my boyfriend we went to Limassol Marina for a Sunday lunch. I just love that place. It's so beautiful day and night time too! You eyes can really relax there just looking at the ocean ! I wish I had a yacht there but hey maybe one day, you never know haha :p  

I mean just look at this view!! So beautiful!! 

My outfit was really casual. All winter I had been dreaming of white sneakers because they really go with every outfit. I had been looking these sneakers from Stradivarius and when my bff came here and got the blue ones I thought what the heck I will buy the white ones then, and to be honest haven't regret it at all!  Those shoes are so comfy and they look really nice!

I don't know about you guys but the past few years I've been struggled to get a good pair of jean shorts. I mean at least here in Cyprus they tend to sell shorts that basically doesn't cover your butt and I just dont feel comfortable wearing shorts like that plus for me they dont even look good! This year I was lucky (and on time!!) and I found these jeans shorts and they are perfect! They are not too low nor do they show your butt! And I have to be honest I was kind of scared to buy lighter color jeans since I feel like its making me look bigger but I was so wrong and these are defo my favorite shorts at the moment!

IM BACK!

Hello friends!

Long time no see hu? Well I'm so sorry for dissapearing like that but it just I had so much going on with my life with my friend coming to Cyprus, work and school, but now my first exams are over (which btw went much better than I thought, I passed them all!!) and since my school does not continue for like in 10 days I decided to come back and start blogging again! I do have so much material and pictures waiting to get published and I am really excited to be able to write again!! :) 

I had off today from work so I went to my bf's pool! It has been so hot today even tho it's quite windy outside but the wind is really warm and not helping with the heat!! But I'm so happy that it's summer, because it's my favorite time of the year! I've already swum in the ocean once and it was really cold :D But my family is coming here in few weeks and I'm so excited about it and it also means I get to go to swimming pools and beach more often, yay! :)

April 1st

Happy April 1st everybody! This is probably the first year when I haven't tried to do any april fools! And no one has done them for me, so, so good so far ! Here in Cyprus April 1st is a public holiday (don't even ask me why :D) so I had a day off from work today! The weather was so lovely today, sun was shining and it was warm outside so we decided to go for a little beach walk with my boyfriend. But as soon as we arrived to the beach it started to look a little cloudy and because it was windy too we didn't last that long and came back to home! 

Ooooohhhh, my best friend will come to Cyprus this month!!! 17 days left !!! <3 But before that it will be quite busy for me with studying and working (hence it's Easter next week here in Cyprus I will be working more hours I think! )

My make-up essentials

Hey friends! So today I wanted to share with you guys my make-up essentials. All of these products have found their way to my make-up bag and most of these I have bought over and over again when they have emptied! Face :  Lumene CC foundation; The reason I love it so much is because it's feels so light in your skin but at the same time it gives you the right coverage plus you wont be left with spots and color differences because it will blend with your own skin color! Plus it has SPF 20 :) This is actually my 3rd bottle! :)  Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation; This is also a light foundation and has SPF 15 in it, which is great! It gives you fresh look and will brighten your face ! Lumene concealer; This is actually the first concealer I have tried and I fell in love with it so much.  I have really dark circles under my eyes and I was positively surprised how well this works! It gives me good coverage and I am actually having my 3rd tube at the moment! The negative thing is that they don't sell this here in Cyprus so I have to wait that my friends and family comes here so they can bring it to me with them! Rimmel Stay Matte Powder; This is defo the best powder I have tried (with low money). I've been using this powder for years now and I wouldn't change it ! It's only 6euros and will last for a while so yeah, I highly recommend this one! Nivea soft moisturizing cream;  Again this is one of the products I have been using for years and I wouldn't change this cream because it really softens my skin and moisturizes it! LIPS:  Yves Saint Laurent Lip gloss in a shade 4 Fuchsia Vermeil ; Best lip gloss I've used. It's so smooth and lasts long time! also gives you a nice shine and it smells delicious!  Tanya Burr lip gloss, Afrodite ; I usually don't like red lip glosses but this one is an exception! It doesn't give you the bright red effect, it's lighter and this one too, it lasts long and is not sticky!  Maybelline Baby Lips ; I bet you've all heard about these goodies here! I have all the shades available in Cyprus and Finland plus I got the ones with black tube from Feelunique and once again I got all the shades available! I just love these lip palms they are so moisturizing and the ones with color they actually looks really nice on your lips! Love them! Bourjois lipstick; I'm not a lipstick girl but I love Bourjois' lipsticks! They last on your lips and they give you a nice moisture at the same time! Highly recommend!  EYES:  Maybelline Volume Express mascara; I've been very happy with this mascara and I have been using this for maaany years! It makes my lashes look longer and thicker and it stays all day without making your under eyes look dark! And I have the non waterproof version but I got to say even when it rains this will stay on! So yeah I really recommend this one! And it's lump free :)  H&M eyebrow liner; This is surprisingly good if you think that it costs less than 2 euros! I have been using this one for years and I am so happy with the way it makes my eyebrows look like!  So there you go guys, my favorite beauty products that I keep purchasing over and over again!
